Welcome to St Dorothy's Retreat!

Are you searching for your next venue for a reunion, family holiday or place to hold a small group training event in? The location  of  our  house and former family home, is truly the Star of St. Dorothy's show.  The Cornish/Celtic  Spirituality and positive  energy within  the large acreage, which includes its own river, waterfall, meadows and woodland  has a powerful affect on the majority of people who have visited it over the years. The breath taking view of St Michaels Mount and Bay from the house and grounds never fails to delight.

Located in rural West Cornwall, near Penzance,  just eleven miles from Lands End  St Dorothy's House is surrounded by  an abundance of  gardens, with  bays of light and shade, which visitors are  free to explore or just  to sit and relax in .  The outside terrace and front of the house offers  you  panoramic views of  St Michael's Mount and Mounts Bay.

Built by the current owners family as part of  a small Horticultural Holding in the 6O's and 70's, the land  boasts a wonderful selection of semi tropical plants and established trees and shrubs . The small business ceased to trade in the 80's. For  almost three decades no major work was done on the land or gardens. Nature as it does, took a strong hold of the gardens and shrubbery. Slowly, the family  have been  rediscovering  and reclaiming the  wonderful shrubs and natural features in the gardens. Improvements and modernisation of the house have taken place and  are  ongoing.

The house comfortably sleeps 8 in four bedrooms and one additional connecting bedroom. An additional double room could be made available depending on the booking. There are  2 bathrooms a large sitting room  with modern log burner and an open plan  kitchen and dining area with all utensils.
